Transc<x>ription Factor Forkhead Box (Fox) protein family members regulate transc<x>riptional network of genes control multiple cell physiology. Among them, FoxM1 and FoxO have been identified as important transc<x>ription factors in development, cancer and other diseases. This course aims to help students understand the molecular mechanism and biological roles of FoxM1 and FoxO by covering the following issues: 1) regulation of Forkhead box family transc<x>ription factors; 2) Fox proteins transc<x>riptional regulate cell cycle; 3) Fox target genes and regulatory signal pathways; 4) Fox proteins in mouse embryonic development; 5) Fox proteins in cancer biology; 6) Fox proteins oxidative stress and related diseases.

Among them, FoxM1 protein has been identified as an important transcription factor in development, cancer, aging and other diseases. This course extends the setting from Forkhead Box protein special topics (I) and aims to help students understand the molecular mechanism and biological roles of FoxM1, especially lung and pancreas.
