This course includes the analysis of both micromechanical and macromechanical behavior of fiber- reinforced composite materials, and their applications. The following topics are included in this course: (1) Introduction (fibers, matrices and nanocomposites); (2) Lamina Stress-Strain Relationship (Macromechanics); (3) Effective Moduli of Lamina (Micromechanics); (4) Strength Criteria of Lamina; (5) Analysis of Lamina Hygrothermal Behavior; (6) Analysis of Laminates (CLT-Bending, Buckling); (7) Discontinuous Fiber-Reinforced Lamina; (8) Dynamic Behavior of Laminates; (9) Mechanical Testing of Composites.
